Acveti is seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to join a large enterprise client in the Greater Toronto Area. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, C++, cloud technologies, APIs, and distributed systems. You will be responsible for developing scalable enterprise applications, contributing to system architecture, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance enterprise-grade applications using Python and C++.
Build and maintain scalable applications in distributed and cloud-based environments.
Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and platform enhancements.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and application integrations.
Design and optimize relational database schemas and data models.
Build, deploy, and support cloud-native applications and services.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA teams, and developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Leverage modern engineering practices, automation, and AI-assisted development tools where appropriate.
Required Skills
5–7 years of hands-on experience in Python development.
Strong programming experience with C++.
Experience building enterprise applications in distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong knowledge of REST APIs and application integrations.
Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data modelling.
Experience with software architecture and scalable application design.
Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Exposure to automation tools and AI-assisted development.
Familiarity with microservices architecture.
Experience with Git and modern version control practices.
Knowledge of performance tuning and application optimization.
Experience working in large enterprise environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Master's degree is a plus.
