SaaS / PRM·Remote

Scaling a SaaS product with a dedicated engineering team.

Better Tracker partnered with Acveti to build a dedicated remote engineering team that would operate as a true extension of its product organization, not an outside vendor. What began as a small, focused engagement grew into a 4+ year partnership, scaling from 2 to 10 engineers across React, Laravel, QA and DevOps as the SaaS product and its roadmap expanded.

The challenge

The challenge.

Better Tracker wanted to scale its SaaS product faster than in-house hiring allowed, but it did not want a disconnected outsourcing arrangement that would need constant management and re-explaining. It needed a dedicated group that plugged directly into its Agile process, owned quality as well as features, and could grow with the roadmap rather than being re-staffed for every phase, continuity that most contract models struggle to provide.

The solution

How Acveti solved it.

01

A dedicated, integrated team

Acveti stood up a remote engineering team that plugged directly into Better Tracker’s Agile process across React, Laravel, QA and DevOps, working as one team rather than a separate vendor.

02

Scaled with the product

What started as a two-engineer engagement grew to ten as the product and roadmap expanded, capacity that tracked the business rather than a fixed statement of work.

03

Owned quality and delivery

The team took responsibility for feature development, quality assurance, infrastructure and continuous product enhancement, so reliability improved alongside velocity.

Implementation

From brief to launch.

  1. Start

    Small dedicated team

A focused engagement of 2 engineers embedded in Better Tracker’s Agile development process and rituals.

  2. Scale-up

    Grew to 10 engineers

The team scaled across React, Laravel, QA and DevOps as delivery accelerated and the roadmap widened.

  3. Embed

    Owned quality

Dedicated QA and DevOps made releases more stable and repeatable, not just more frequent.

  4. Ongoing

    4+ year partnership

A long-term engagement sustaining faster releases, improved stability and consistent delivery over years.

The outcome

What changed.

Better Tracker scaled its engineering capacity five-fold without building and managing a separate vendor relationship, the same dedicated team grew with the product over four-plus years, preserving context and ownership that would have been lost to churn. Faster releases, better stability and continuity across React, Laravel, QA and DevOps came from a group that behaved like in-house staff, not an outside supplier.
